Frank + Bethany
One reason why I will always encourage an engagement session is to get to know my couples and have a really fun experience together in the midst of wedding planning. Frank and Bethany drove 30 miles to work with me after we had many discussions planning their perfect engagement session. They live in a more "urban" area and wanted to feature their love for the outdoors as well as their love for hiking. They both love the outdoors and envisioned a beautiful landscape with Kentucky scenery - I think we nailed it!
We spent the warm summer evening walking around Battlefield Park, laughing, and talking about their love story. They met online and after making arrangements for a date, Bethany's phone died and Frank thought he'd been stood up in the midst of first-date nerves. It wasn't long after a few more dates they knew they needed to go ahead and start planning a wedding.
It didn't take long to notice how natural and easy-going they were together - making the shoot fun and effortless! They both were so willing to try any pose or spot and were always graceful in everything I asked them to try. At one point Frank even helped tie Bethany's shoes! I knew they were a "Rachel" couple when Bethany explained that she insisted on a unique stone for her engagement ring. They ended up buying from a local jeweler who fulfilled the joys of supporting small-businesses. I just love these two and enjoyed our time together!
