Mr. and Mrs. Jones
Devin and KJ had the most perfect Kentucky weather for their wedding day. In case you've never been to Kentucky, you really never know what kind of weather to expect. I've seen couples plan their wedding for May and the weather decide to be freezing cold while I've seen October brides plan a wedding for the crisp fall air, only to have lingering summer weather and hot temperatures. The week leading up to Devin and KJ's wedding had record high temps but on their big day, it was the perfect sunny day with a cool breeze.
Devin used Kentucky as her wedding inspiration. She is originally from California and wanted to give her out-of-state loved ones a taste of the Bluegrass State. They even had a surprise guest at the reception - the Kentucky Wildcat mascot! How cool?!?!
The bride and groom love spending time with their friends in the backyard with a fire and their favorite drinks. That's exactly how I'd describe the feel of their reception (minus the fire). Devin incorporated family into small details such as wearing her grandmother's earrings and using KJ parent's cake serving utensils for their cake cutting. They chose to host their wedding at the dreamy Hawk's Nest Wedding and Event Center with a gorgeous white barn surrounded by pastures of farmland. I hope you can feel the joy through some of my favorite photos of the day!
